Bookmyne

The Dalton McCaughey Library catalogue is now available through the free SirsiDynix smartphone application BookMyne (available from the Apple App Store and from the Google Play Store).

BookMyne allows borrowers to search for books, add them to lists, request for books to be put aside (place holds) and renew existing loans.

Once you install BookMyne on your smartphone, it is very easy to add the Dalton McCaughey Library as one of your libraries.

Digital Karl Barth Library

The library has just purchased access to the Digital Karl Barth Library, through Alexander Street Press.
From the project home page,

"The current release features the English translation of Barth's magnum opus, The Church Dogmatics, in its entirety. The original German version, Die kirchliche Dogmatik, is also included as are the first 45 volumes of Barth's Gesamtausgabe, which includes hundreds of letters, sermons, lectures, conversations, and academic writings. These volumes are supplemented by seven additional German works that have not yet been published as part of the Gesamtausgabe and English translations of thirteen important texts by Barth."

DML users can access the Digital Karl Barth Library by clicking here.

JSTOR Trial

DML has arranged a trial of JSTOR, a very large digital library of academic journals, books, and primary sources that DML could subscribe to. The trial runs until the end of November.

Click here for an information sheet on how to use JSTOR.

Access the trial here. (From outside the library you will need to be able to pass through DML’s login screen.)

Develop your searches by putting some of the rules published here into effect.

Please send feedback on your view of the usefulness of JSTOR to Stephen (sconnelly@dml.vic.edu.au). Any feedback will be useful.
